Corflute and A Frame Signs

Not every sign needs to last ten years. Sometimes you need forty signs for a weekend event, a site board for the duration of a build, or something to put on the footpath telling people you are open.

That is what corflute and A frames are for. Cheap, quick, light enough to carry, and good enough to look professional.

Corflute signs

Corflute is the fluted plastic board that looks like plastic cardboard. It is light, waterproof, will not rot, and prints beautifully in full colour. We print it in 3mm and 5mm, single or double sided, in any size up to full sheet, and we can cut it to shape.

Corflute takes a ground stake, a fence tie, a wire H stand or a screw fix straight to a hoarding. Tell us how you are mounting it and we will orient the flutes the right way, which matters more than people expect. Flutes running the wrong direction on a stake mounted sign makes it far more likely to fold in the wind.

A frames and sandwich boards

The footpath sign. Folds flat, carries in one hand, goes out in the morning and comes in at night.

We supply:

Printed panel A frames. Aluminium or steel frame with a printed ACM or corflute insert both sides.
Snap frame A boards. Hinged frames with a clip open edge so you can change the poster yourself whenever you like. Good for cafes changing specials and agents changing listings.
Chalkboard A frames. Timber or metal frame with a writable surface. We can add your logo permanently at the top and leave the rest for the chalk pen.
Water base and spring back frames. Weighted or sprung so they pop back up rather than blowing over. Worth it in any exposed position.

A note on footpaths

Sunshine Coast Council does regulate A frames on public footpaths. In general terms there are rules about how many you can have, how far they can sit from the building line, and the clear width of footpath that has to remain for pedestrians and wheelchairs. Check with council or your centre management before you put one out. Signs on your own private property are a different matter.

Frequently asked questions

How long does corflute last outdoors?

Printed and unlaminated, expect around twelve to eighteen months in the Queensland sun before the colour starts to go. With a UV laminate, longer. For a site sign that needs to stay up for a two year build, laminate it or step up to printed ACM instead.

What is the cheapest way to do a lot of signs?

Corflute, single sided, printed direct, all the same size. The price per sign drops sharply with quantity because the setup is the same whether we print five or five hundred.

Can you print corflute the same day?

Sometimes, depending on the queue and the quantity. Call us with your deadline before you order rather than after.

Do you supply the stakes and stands?

Yes. Wire H stakes, timber stakes, and various frames. Tell us where they are going and we will recommend the right one.
