Banners and Flags

Banners and flags are the workhorses of temporary signage. They go up in minutes, they roll up and go in the back of the car, and they cost a fraction of anything permanent. Market stalls, sporting clubs, expos, open homes, sales, sponsorships, grand openings. We print a lot of them.

Artwork, printing and finishing all happen here in Buderim, so a straightforward banner can turn around quickly when you need it to.

What we print

Vinyl banners. Heavy duty PVC banner mesh, full colour printed, hemmed all round with eyelets at the corners and along the edges. The standard club, event and construction banner. We can also finish with rope in the hem, pole pockets, or reinforced webbing for larger sizes.

Mesh banners. Perforated banner material that lets wind through. Essential for anything large, anything on a fence, or anything in an exposed position. A solid banner in a coastal breeze becomes a sail and will either tear or take the fence with it.

Pull up banners. The retractable banner in an aluminium base. Sets up in about twenty seconds, packs into a carry bag, stands about two metres tall. Standard for trade shows, conferences, reception areas and open homes. We also do the wider double width versions.

Teardrop and feather flags. The tall curved flags on a fibreglass pole. Ground spike, cross base or water base depending on where they are going. Highly visible from a distance and they move, which catches the eye. Very popular for open homes, car yards and roadside businesses.

Media walls and backdrops. Printed fabric or vinyl on a frame for events, launches and photo walls.

Fabric banners and bunting. Dye sublimated fabric for indoor use where you want something softer than PVC, and printed bunting for markets and events.

Sizes, artwork and getting it right

The most common mistake we see is too much text. A banner is read from a distance, often quickly, often at an angle. One clear message, big, plus a logo and a contact detail. That is it.

Supply artwork as a vector PDF or an EPS if you can, or a high resolution raster file at a minimum of one hundred and fifty dots per inch at final size. If your file is not up to it, we will tell you before we print, and if you do not have artwork at all we will do the design here. That is what the design half of the business is for.

Hanging and mounting

Eyelets at every half metre or so along the top and bottom for anything outdoors. Tie at every eyelet, not just the corners, and use cable ties or rope rather than tape. Leave the bottom edge secured rather than flapping. And if the banner is going anywhere genuinely windy, go with mesh.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can I get a banner?

Straightforward printed banners can often be turned around in a few working days once artwork is approved, and sometimes faster if you are stuck. Call us and ask rather than assuming, because it depends on what is in the queue.

How long will an outdoor banner last?

A printed PVC banner in a reasonable position will look good for one to two years outdoors. In full sun on the coast, expect the shorter end of that. Banners are a temporary product, so if you need something for five years, look at a printed ACM panel or a fabricated sign instead.

What size should a pull up banner be?

The standard is 850mm wide by 2000mm tall. Keep the important content in the top two thirds. Anything below about 600mm from the floor gets blocked by people standing in front of it.

Do you do club and sponsor banners?

Yes, plenty. Fence banners, sponsor boards, mesh runs along a boundary fence, and single sponsor panels. If you have multiple sponsor logos, send them all through and we will lay them out.
